About the piece:
I have in the neighbourhood of 1000 photos of Water Lilies. While Carl is fishing I keep myself busy with my camera and sketch pad. Fortunately he likes to hunt for Northern Pike in the weeds along the Trent River. That is where I can find these beautiful crisp white flowers.

About the piece:
Every year we head to a place called Jake’s Blue Roof Cottages near Campbellford Ontario. The accommodations are cheap and cheerful, we always have a wonderful time. In early September there is a spot on the river where the sunsets are gorgeous. This painting is a culmination of a number of photos I took one evening. I love all the clouds reflected in swirls on the water. By the way the fishing is pretty good there as well.
